NxtWave Joins 2 Cos To Build AV Developer Community

Hyderabad: City-based NxtWave, a software training platform in Industry 4.0, said it has partnered with TIER IV, an open-source software provider, and Autoware Foundation, an open-source software project for autonomous driving, to officially build an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Developer Community.

This partnership aims to contribute to the SkillUp India 4.0 initiative, launched in partnership with NSDC and NxtWave, which will upskill 30 lakh students in 4.0 technologies.

For building the AV developer community, the programme will include both offline and online learning models, and provide localised content in regional languages. Insights from the collaboration will be used to refine the AV curriculum and introduce new specialised tracks, an official NxtWave press release said.

On the collaboration, Rahul Attuluri, Founder and CEO, NxtWave, said: “By merging NxtWave’s upskilling framework with TIER IV and Autoware’s cutting-edge open-source technology, we are confident in our ability to transform India’s position in AV and Physical AI innovation.”

Speaking about the initiative, Attuluri added, “The AV Developer Community aims to tackle key challenges in India’s talent pipeline, including a lack of awareness about AV technology, an industry-academia disconnect, and the need for a globally competitive workforce in AI-driven mobility. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and Managing Director, NSDC International; Shinpei Kato, Chairman, Autoware Foundation, and Christian John, President, TIER IV - North America, were present during the partnership announcement.
